Netizens Drop Mix Response Over Warner Bros. Wonka Trailer!

Warner Bros are trying hard to keep their audience engaged and entertained throughout 2023. Their recently released Wonka trailer is proof of their dedication to frequently bringing good content to viewers. Wonka, which is a fictional story of Willy Wonka, a character penned by Roald Dahl, will hit theatres this December. 

Director Paul King and writer Simon Farnaby reunite for the Wonka movie after working on their 2017 Paddington film. Wonka will serve as a prequel to the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, in which the titular character of Willy Wonka was played by Gene Wilder. 

For the unversed, Gene Wilder’s face as Willy Wonka is frequently used by netizens for creating memes on social media. In 2005 actor Johnny Depp also played the titular character Wonka in his film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and garnered an overwhelming response from the audience. 

The 2023 Wonka movie is based on the 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and this time, the Oscar-nominated actor Timothee Chamalet is entering the shoes of the famous Chocolatier. The highly anticipated film will follow his journey from being Willy to Wonka before he opens the world’s most famous chocolate factory. In the first official Wonka trailer released by Warner Bros, we watch Willy Wonka’s adventure, his quest against the Chocolate Cartel, some self-promises, his unique inventions, and his ultimate inspiration, who encouraged him to pursue his dreams. Of course, his mother was played by Sally Hawkins. 

Hugh Grant as Oompa-Loompa also appears in the Wonka trailer, where he tends to work in Wonka’s chocolate factory. Peterson Joseph and Rowan Atkinson round up the casting in the Wonka trailer. Peterson plays the role of priest Arthur Slugworth while Rowan Atkinson is starred as a priest. 

Calah Lane, Keegan Michael Key, Matt Lucas, Matthew Baynton, Jim Carter, Tom Davis, Olivia Colman, Natasha Rothwell, Rich Fulcher, and many other actors also join the film. However, their roles are not disclosed in the Wonka trailer.

The Wonka trailer, which is full of goofy and sincere moments and introduces the film’s incredible cast, has received a mixed response from netizens.
