The Marvels is ready to hit theatres next year, and we are on just cloud nine to watch our favourite Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau coming together for this mega project. The multi-starrer film will pick up the dangled events of Ms Marvel and Wandavision.
If you remember, the post-credit scenes from the last series showed Kamala and Danvers swapping their places. So, do you know how that magic happened? When are The Marvels Releasing?
Marvel Studios has announced The Marvels release date to reach the theatre screens on 28th July 2023. After making a theatrical release, The Marvels will make its OTT debut with Disney Plus. However, the streaming date for the film isn’t revealed by the production house, but we are sure the OTT viewers won’t have to wait too long to get the movie on Disney Plus.
Earlier in Comic-Con 2019, when Kevin Feige announced the film, it was set to reach the screens on 8th July 2022. But, following the CoViD-19 outbreak, The Marvels suffered delays, and now it is ready to release on 28th July 2023.
Who is Likely to Feature in The Marvels Cast?
The Marvel cast features Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau in the lead roles. In the first Captain Marvel, Brie Larson portrayed a former US pilot who receives some celestial powers after getting exposed in front of the Tesseract’s forces. Recently, she was also seen as the Avenger group member who helped the superheroes defeat Thanos.
Speaking about Kamala’s character. She is a teen who realizes her celestial power after she wears her grandmother’s bangles. In the Ms Marvel finale, we saw her as a mutant who enters the MCU superhero group.
Monica is the daughter of Maria Rambeau and a SWORD agent who has the power to absorb energy. She was last seen in Captain Marvel. Her last scenes in WandaVision were introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Besides these three central characters, Samuel L. Jackson will likely reprise his role as Nick Fury in the film. Before this, Nick appeared in many Marvel movies as his character has been quite active in forming the Avengers group. In Captain Marvel, Nick Fury and Carol were drawn close to each other as the former helped Carol learn about her past. Thus, some or the other form Jackson is confirmed to feature in The Marvels.
Meanwhile, we have Zawe Ashton as The Marvels villain, but his character name and plot information is not yet revealed. Further, he is joined by Seo-Joon and just like Zawe’s case, Seo-Joon’s role is also not disclosed by Marvel Studios.
What is the Expected The Marvels Plot?
The production studios have yet to disclose the official details of The Marvels plot. Although, we do have some information and source reports concerning the film’s storyline. As per our idea, the open scenes will feature Carol and Kamala, who are now to be seen after the Ms Marvel release. In the post-credit scenes of Ms Marvel, Kamala’s bangles shine suddenly, after which she sees a figure appearing from the cupboard. And the glowing purple finger person is no other than Captain Marvel. So, how the duo ended up in the room is a significant aspect that’ll be picked up in this new story.
In this latest sequel, Captain Marvel has a new costume somewhat linked to Kamala. This is just amazing. Moreover, Monica’s character also has some unfinished story to convey. In WandaVision, Monica was seen stating Carol has left her mother after receiving the celestial powers, which means we will see a confrontation between these superheroes.
Not to forget, Brie Larson’s less heroic qualities will also be explored in the film, following which we will see a hero taking some wrong decisions in her life. And there comes Nick Fury’s involvement, and hopefully, we’ll also see the Skrulls again.
What is The Marvels Trailer About?
Although Marvel Studios has not revealed the official The Marvels trailer, some lucky fans have got to see the first footage from the movie. All thanks to the D23 Expo event that teased the first glimpse behind closed doors. Reports stated that the video clip showed the incidents after Kamala’s family met Carol. Alongside, Monica and Goose will also be shown somewhere, continuing their respective mission.
