What to Expect from Mission Impossible 8 Dead Reckoning Part 2?

It’s a Tom Cruise film, so lots and lots of action. McQuarrie has cleverly shot the ending of Mission Impossible 7 Dead Reckoning Part 1. The film ends at a half-baked conclusion where after all the hassle, Ethan finally gets the key to the Entity’s chamber. But, the twist is this chamber is located inside the wreck of a Russian submarine. Another plot twist was while Ethan was aiming to destroy the alarming A.I., many other nations were trying to control it and use it for their use. There is a possibility that Ethan and his IMF team will have to face other nations.

Ethan and his team have no idea about the submarine’s location. Mission Impossible 8 Dead Reckoning part 2 will unleash how Ethan and his team find the sunken submarine and deal with other nations with all the action and drama, making the film more thrilling.

Why Mission Impossible 8 Dead Reckoning was Delayed Multiple Times?

Initially, as announced by Tom Cruise on January 14th, 2019, the seventh and eighth Mission Impossible installments were shot back-to-back, with McQuarrie writing and directing both films. The first release date was July 23rd, 2021, and August 5th, 2022, for the seventh and eighth installments. In February 2021, it was revealed that Paramount Pictures didn’t go with the plan.

In February 2021, a report by Deadline Hollywood stated that there would be no longer back-to-back filming of the Mission Impossible seventh and eighth movies, and McQuarrie was re-writing the film in November of that year. It was presumed that the WGA strike had something to do with the continuous delay of the shoot, but later it was clarified that the film’s promotion and marketing occupied Tom Cruise and McQuarrie. As of now, director McQuarrie said that filming Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning part 2 is only 40% complete. We hope everything goes well, and we will see the film on the scheduled release date of June 28th, 2024.
