Mark Margolis Died At 83! The Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul Actor Passed Away Due to Short Illness

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul actor Mark Margolis died at 83. Mark Margolis, who is known for playing Hector Salamanca in the Breaking Bad Franchise and its spin-off series Better Call Saul took his last breath on 04th August 2023 at New York Hospital. His only son, actor, and CEO of Knitting Factory Entertainment, broke the news of his death and said Mark Margolis died because of short illness yesterday.

Mark was survived by his wife Jacqueline, son Morgan and three grandsons. Jacqueline and Morgan accompanied Mark to the hospital, where later on, he bid adieu to his life.

Many of his industry friends, including the Better Call Saul actor Bob Odenkirk and Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston mourned his death, penning a tribute note on their social media handles.

Calling Mark’s presence powerful, Bob Odenkirk said –Mark made me laugh in the van on the way to set with his jokes and comments, and I only hope I have half his energy and focus when ‘’Action’’ was shouted. Thank you, Mark, and condolences to your family.

The official Twitter handle of Breaking Bad also joined Bob and paid tribute to Mark Margolis, describing his role as one of the most unforgettable characters in the history of television.

Mark Margolis ruled millions’ hearts for playing Hector Salamanca in the Breaking Bad franchise for years. In the American crime drama, Mark plays the role of a gangster and the head of the Salamanca family, who, after being poisoned by a rival, turns into a man of few words who uses a bell and eye expressions to communicate with people around him.

Mark’s performance as Hector Salamanca was highly enjoyed by all TV audiences worldwide. He was so interactive in the series that in 2012, he even received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for his impeccable role in Breaking Bad.
