Actor Lance Solomon Reddick, mainly known for appearing in The Wire and John Wick franchise, died at 60. According to his representative and various news lines, Lance Reddick was found deceased in his home on 17th March 2023. He passed away from natural causes in his residence located in Los Angeles. 

Lance Reddick’s death came as one big shock in the entertainment industry. His peers and industry friends even paid tribute to the actor’s death. This includes his Oz co-star Kirk Acevedo who wrote- 

Just found out Lance Reddick just passed away. I’ve worked with Lance on Oz and then on Fringe. Too many stories and good time with Lance. 

You’ll be terribly missed. 

Jesus, he was taken way too soon. 

Rest easy, my friend. 

Lance’s The Wire co-star Wendell Pierce tweeted- 

Consummate, professional, devoted, collaborator, lovely and gentleman, loyal friend. Could go on, but no, I can’t go on. This is gutting. And, way, way, way too soon.

Shocked and saddened by the news that Lance Reddick had passed away. Truly heartbreaking. 

RIP, my friend. You will be missed.

The DC’s new head James Gun wrote in his tweet- 

Lance Reddick was an incredibly nice guy and an incredibly talented actor. This is heartbreaking. My love goes to all his family, friends, and collaborators. 

Lance’s John Wick co-stars Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane also paid tributes to his memory. 

Reddick was survived by his wife and children, Stephanie, Yvonne, Nicole, and Christopher, until his death. Though neither of his sources has shared complete details of his death incident, we can talk about the films, shows, or video games he was widely known for.

Lance Solomon Reddick was largely popular for essaying Cedric Fringe in the crime drama television series from 2002 to 2008, starring Dominic West, Lance Reddick, and Sonja Sohn in lead roles. 

He has also been a part of the popular drama-mystery series Fringe ran between 2008 to 2013, starring Anna Torv, John Noble, and Joshua Jackson in the lead roles alongside Lance Reddick. 

Thereby, another television show Bosch where Lance Reddick played Chief Irvin Irving from 2014 to 2020, made him a household name, even though Lance wasn’t in the lead role for the show. 

Speaking about Lance Reddick’s film role. The American actor and musician have gained immense recognition for playing Charon in the popular John Wick franchise from 2014 to 2023. His John Wick Chapter Four film, which he was busy doing promotions for in the last few weeks, is now set to release on 24th March 2023. Hence, for the one last time, we can see our favourite Charon screen again.

Lance is also known for playing David Gentry in the action thriller Angel Has Fallen, featuring Gerard Butler, Danny Huston, and Fredrick Schmidt as the main characters. Meanwhile, the other film and television projects with which actor Lance Reddick has made a place in the entertainment world include- Oz (1997-2003), Lost (2004-2010), and Resident Evil (2022).
