Killers of the Flower Moon, a Western crime drama film, is based on the 2017 non-fiction book of the same name by David Gran.
Set in the 1920s, Oklahoma, Killers of the Flower Moon chronicles the story of the Osage murders, a series of brutal killings in the US state later known as the Reign of Terror.
Surprisingly, this Martin Scorsese film is the eighth film from the director which was presented at the Cannes Film Festival on 20th May 2023, ahead of its theatrical release. Greed is an Animal That Hunger For Blood Flashes the Killers of the Flower Moon Trailer
Killers of the Flower Moon trailer centers around the Osage murders, and one of its flashes reads- Greed is an Animal. That Hungers for Blood sets the tone for the crime thriller. The trailer released on 19th May 2023 is full of brutal murders, a dark past, and foreboding imagery.
As the video progresses, we see the Killers of the Flower Moon casting members who play Osage residents being killed and left to rot in the wilderness. Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays Ernest Burkhart, the nephew of the crime boss William Hale becomes intertwined in the mysterious murder case. After the 2012’s The Wolf of Wall Street, it’s been 12 years since Leonardo last worked with Martin Scorcese.
Lily Gladstone plays the paramour of DiCarpio’s Burkhart Mollie Kyle, who is mostly seen in terror following the Osage murders glimpsed in the Killers of the Flower Moon trailer.
Robert De Niro essays the role of Burkhart’s uncle William Hale in the Western crime drama. Hale is a wealthy oilman who aims to cease control over the Osage tribe. In the Killers of the Flower Moon trailer, his character is shown as the well-loved figure of Osage County and is even called the King of the Osage Hills.
Jesse Plemons, who plays Tom White, an FBI agent, investigates the Osage murders case and doubts William Hale is the mastermind for all the Osage murders. However, the truth is yet to reveal. We must watch the movie in theatres to know what it is and what led the culprit to take so many lives of Osage.
