The First Appearance of Ant Man
The world saw the first appearance of Ant Man, aka Scott Lang, through his own titular film Ant Man in 2015. In the movie, Scott pulls off his journey of embracing his inner hero while assisting his mentor Dr. Hank Pym to form a plan that will protect the world. Hank discovers the talent of Scott, an electrical engineer who struggles hard to pay for child support. The duo was also responsible for safeguarding the suit’s secret from the new generation of threats.
Scott, aka Ant Man, fights against Darren, who has some evil intentions of falsely using his technology to shrink the size of living beings. He tests his abilities and assigns him a mission in exchange for a lump sum amount he can use for his daughter’s studies and other expenses. After he Kills Darren, the movie steps towards the end, where Falcon is seen searching for Ant Man to seek his help for a mission. As Louis informs Scott about Falcon, he agrees to meet him, after which the story continues with the events of Captain America: Civil War.
Ant Man Continues its Journey With Civil Wars
After the first appearance of Ant Man, Paul Rudd relishes his role in Captain America: Civil War. His fight against Iron Man and his allies proved his suit’s potential to scale his body size and helped Winter Soldier and Captain America quickly escape and search for Zemo. During his cameo, Ant Man, aka Scott Lang, joins the side of Captain America against Pym and Dyne’ will.
Later on, when Thaddeus Ross arrested Ant Man, Captain America arrived to free him. He allied with Wasp and Pym and rescued Janet from Quantum Realm. But, it was too late till then, as Ant Man had already escaped from the place. After that, Scott returned to his home and continued his house arrest. Further, to spend time with his family, he deals with the FBI to put him under house arrest.
However, when Thanos dusted Pym’s entire family, Ant Man fell into his trap too. Paul’s version of Ant Man delivered a breathtaking turn in Captain America: Civil War and Ant Man and the Wasp’s climax in 2016 and 2018, respectively. One year later, Paul again turned into Ant Man in Avengers: Endgame and rejoined the Avengers.
Scott advised everyone to use the Quantum Realm as the means of time travel and thus brought the six infinity stones into their present timeline. But the story didn’t end there because an alternate Thanos from an alternate past followed the avengers leading a devastating Battle on Earth. The avengers eventually destroyed the Thanos army, celebrated the victory alongside Cassie and Dyne, and went to Tony Stark’s funeral.
The Return of Ant Man
Moving ahead, we are yet again to see Ant Man in its third titular film titled Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Marvel Studios have already released a trailer for the movie. The video clip starts with a monologue of Scott Lang chronicling his journey from being a convicted felon to an Avenger. He is being awarded the title of Employee of the Century by his boss Baskin Robbins. In Ant Man and the Wasp, Lang is exiled from his office as the store manager discovers his criminal records. Now, when he is acknowledged for being a good employee, it’s a remarkable moment for him. The video clip also shows Scott in a gala event associated with his superhero career.
In the film, we also see Scott making up to Cassie for losing five years of her life while trapped in the Quantum Realm. We also know a secret behind the ring of power in the trailer and some spilled beans from Cassie’s side. The last clip reveals a fierce look of Kang the Conqueror, who hostages Cassie Lang to get Scott’s help. Now what happens further is kept under wrap. And, ladies and gentlemen, Bill Murray is also here this time, but we still don’t know his role in the film yet.
