Titled Extraction 2, the film sees the return of Black Ops Mercenary Tyler Rake, played by Chris Hemsworth, for another deadly mission. After the awry events of the blockbuster Extraction, Tyler was presumed dead. But that wasn’t the time he took his last breaths. He is alive, and he is back to rescue the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison they are being held. Netflix Reveals the Extraction 2 Release Date from the Film’s Official Trailer  

The popular streaming giant Netflix has unveiled the official Extraction 2 release date in the film’s recent trailer released on YouTube. Yes, you heard this right. Extraction 2 will release on 16th June 2023. 

The filming of the Extraction sequel began on 29th November 2021 in Prague, Czech Republic. Initially, the film was scheduled to start production in September 2021, but following the effect of the global shutdown, the directors had to delay filming for a few more months. Chris Hemsworth, who plays the titular role of Tyler Rake, began shooting on 4th December for the franchise’s sequel. 

Further, the filming occurred in Vienna, Austria, from 28th January 2022 to 14th February 2022. The whole cast and crew of the Extraction sequel also explored Donau City to shoot significant scenes and wrapped up the production work by 6th April 2022. And now, after the post-production work for Extraction 2 is also officially completed, the Russo Brothers are all set to bring back the Extraction sequel on 16th June 2023.
