What Critics Have to Say About Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania Movie Review? – Popgeek

Marvel’s long-awaited project Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania screens the movie before its official release in theatres to receive critics’ reviews on the Paul Rudd and Jonathan film. So, finally, we have the time to grab their eagled-eye reactions. Ant Man 3 is the 3rd solo film in the MCU Ant-Man franchise featuring the charming Paul Rudd in the titular role Ant Man we met eight years ago. Soon after Ant Man garnered a positive response at global theatres, Marvel Studios picked up the threads again with the Ant Man sequel in 2018, and now, in 2023, Peyton Reed has geared up again to continue the Ant Man saga, but this time in a new dynasty. On the one hand, where this Paul Rudd and Jonathan Majors provide closure to the trilogy, it also serves as the starting point for MCU’s phase five to begin this year.

What else? This time we have a new Avenger-level threat as Kang the Conqueror has arrived to wreak havoc in the majestic realm. Kang, who first appeared in the Disney+ series Loki and later plunged into the Quantumania, will fight the Avengers one day.

No wonder how Kang and Ant-Man’s first meeting will be. After Kang reaches Loggerheads with Scott Lang, he will experience character development; he will be the titular character in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers Secret Wars.

While Ant-Man 3 promises to be a completely different story in contrast with its previous two films, it continuously intrigues us on whether the Quantumania is as good as everyone expected it to be. As Quantumania is still six days away to give a clear picture of how this Quantum realm looks like and what destiny has in store for Scott Lang and Kang the Conqueror, some critics have been lucky enough to watch Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania. Ok, we are a bit jealous, but let’s quickly check what they have to say about the future of the Marvel franchise.

Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania Critics Review Out!

Twitter is swamped with a flurry of comments after users receive critics’ reviews on Ant-Man 3, and to date, there are only praises for the Scott Lang movie.

Calling Quantumania as a complete game changer, Atom tweeted- #Quantumania REVIEW: SCARY & SHOCKING GAMECHANGER! Marvel is back with a fun, WILD adventure. This isn’t just another superhero movie, it’s one of the BEST sci-fi films ever! WOW… A fitting end to her journey while also setting up what’s next #AntManandtheWaspQuantumania.

Thereby, praising Kang’s performance, Atom wrote- KANG is the best comic book movie villain EVER. Jonathan Majors will be nominated for Best Supporting Actor at Oscars 2024, with a very solid chance of winning. His performance is Legendary. He truly is a conqueror. Welcome to Phase 5.

Another early reactionfrom Fico, who is a film critic at Cine Xpress PR,states- that #AntandtheWaspQuantumania is the best of the trilogy. Higher stakes, dangers & repercussions. Its also got one of the best MCU villains in #Kang. As soon as JonathanMayors comes in, iit’shis show. He is a scary lean-mean, multiverse big baddie. Also, 2 cool post-credit scenes.

Eric Davis, whose writings have rock criticism, writes- Phase 5 HAS BEGUN. Calling the Quantumania a psychedelic rollercoaster, Eric says this Ant-Man movie is a complete package of frightening and hilarious oddities. He also acknowledges Jonathan Major, i.e., Kang as the vibrant villain. Speaking about Quantumania’s comparison with that of Star Wars, he says the film has completely matched the vibes of Star Wars in the most inventive and freakiest way. MODOK has been highly entertaining, but it’s Kang who took the Ant-Man world by storm. Completely enjoyed the ride.

Geek Vibes Nation wrote- Thanos was the appetizer while Jonathan Majors was the main course. Majors plays Kang with brilliance and confidence, a menacing and cunning villain with a hint of charm. Kang dominates physically and mentally. #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania.

Jordan Woodson wrote- #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania is hands down the best MCU movie of Phase 5 and the best MCU movie period since Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Paul Rudd *IS* Ant Man and Jonathan Majors *IS* Kang! Peyton Reed directs, and the VFX are visual! It’s a movie that plays in a theatre.

Daniel Baptista of The Movie Podcast penned the movie as one big start and wrote – #that  AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania is a solid, overly ambitious start to the next phase of the MCU. Jonathan Majors is an absolute FORCE as #Kang and the NEW KING of the Multiverse. The final battle is ASTONISHING, but I really missed the comedic charm throughout. #AntMan

Emmanuel Noisette, who feels the Ant-Man visuals is a completely new world, shares- JI justsaw #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania. It’s so weird and visually felt like a new world. Jonathan Majors as #Kang is the best part. Period. Wish we got more Wasp. Paul Rudd was hilarious, although other jokes were chuckles at best. Felt like just another #AntMan.

Other reviews from the Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania critics has Steven Weintraub tweet- Marvel’s #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania is a strong start to Phase 5. I now understand why it’s called #Quantumania. Jonathan Majors is excellent as Kang, and cannot wait to see where this all goes. 2 after the credit scenes, and both are very good.

Anthony from The Movie Podcast pens- #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania should have sparked Phase 5 with a bang but misses the mark. The story is plagued with filler, while sufficient, lacks depth. However, Majors does give an outstanding performance as the cunning and ruthless #Kang. I wish it had left an impression.

Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania

For the majestic Ant Man Cast, we have Paul Rudd as the titular Ant-Man, Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, Jonathan as Kang the Conqueror and Evangeline Lilly as Hope. Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania will swim in theatres on 17th February 2023. This is just getting more intriguing. We can’t wait for any more to get into the quantum realm.
