Alice in Borderland Season 1- Popgeek Review

Alice in Borderland

Alice in Borderland season 1 is a Japanese series on Netflix that features too many breathtaking challenges for its participants, followed by bloodshed and violence. It is one of those rare shows with the right amount of fun factor any dark series requires to make it a worth-watching show.

Its story starts with a guy named Ryohei Arisu playing video games while constantly avoiding his brother’s efforts to get a job for him. Being directionless while he roams in the city, a voice guides him to the deadly game he must play. After he lands in the Borderland world, he finds his friends Chota and Karube alongside. The game can be fatal, and the trio must do something to survive until death.

Alice in Borderland season 1 is well planned and detailed eight episodic dark series. The twists and turns formed around the game are unpredictable and lead us to jump from our couches with shocks.

The visual effects help the plot be more intense and dangerous for players. Their detailed emphasis on every scene makes things scarier while giving us the vibes we can expect from one manga series. The CGI work on the series makes the shots look real.

Alice in Borderland

Speaking about the Alice in Borderland season 1 cast, all the characters featured in the series have delivered a stellar performances. While they play themselves in the game, it feels like their inner self also gets scary. Every participant in the deadly game has a different persona. Usagi and Arisu have done a good job, but we hope Alice in Borderland season 2 brings out character development for the latter.

Even though Arisu commendably played the game, he should also be physically talented. On the other side, we see a strong, bold and independent woman Usagi whose emotions sometimes overrule her persona.

Hey, did you notice Kuina? Have you ever imagined she could kill the Last Boss without using any weapon? That was a shock for us. Moving ahead, there is the most mysterious guy Chishiya. He is a cunning medical grad who can even use other people for his benefit, but I guess that’s what you need to survive the game. His observing powers and sharp tongue have traitor vibes. Kuina and Chishiya encounter Usagi and Arisu, who collectively set out to face the cards in the next stages.

Alice in Borderland season 1 ended on a cliffhanger. The last scenes may not be as per one’s standards, but it all made sense in the end. Wait a moment! Why on earth wasn’t Mira in the last game? Hmm! The season is surely building for more dark theories.

Alice in Borderland season 2 is just two days away now. So it would help if you waited to learn more about Chishiya, Usagi, Arisu or whichever player interests you. Netflix already releases the official trailer for Alice in Borderland season 2, so you can surely get a glimpse of what’s next Alice in Borderland has in store. More violence, more bloodshed and one deadly game. Who do you think will survive the life-and-death game this time? Comment down below!
