Voice actor of the popular action-adventure game Alan Wake, Matthew Porretta, unveils Alan Wake 2 might get an October release. Yes, don’t pinch yourself; you have heard this right. Alan Wake, which first came in 2010, was developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Microsoft Game Studios. While on 14th May 2010, the action-adventure game was only released for Xbox 360, in the month of February 2012, Alan Wake also became available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
The video game follows the story of a best-selling thriller novelist Alan Wake uncovering the mystery of his wife’s disappearance from a family vacation at Brighter Falls. The 2010 video game was rightly accepted by all gamers, with critics dropping positive reviews about the game’s sounds, visuals, pacing, and atmosphere. Moreover, Alan Wake also secured the top rank in Time Magazine’s Top 10 Video Games of 2010. Contemplating the success and popularity of the video game, a sequel was planned before but was canceled for unidentical reasons.

So the magical thing that happened is recent, Matthew Porretta, who is the voice actor for the popular video game character Alan Wake, appeared on Justin Young’s podcast Monster Madness and Magic and gave the Alan Wake fans juicy information about Alan Wake 2 release date. Justin Young, who is the host of Monster Madness and Magic, when questioned about Alan Wake’s sequel to Porretta, quoted that Alan Wake is one of his favorite video games and asked the voice actor whether he is practicing harder for his voicing Alan Wake or whether that comes naturally to him.
Matthew replied- I’ve been working on it. That’s supposed to come out in October. We are in the middle of working on it now. In fact, I have just been to Finland last week; that’s where the company Remedy is from; amazing people.
Since Alan Wake is a recurring role of Matthew Porretta, discussing its sequel on the Monster Madness and Magic episode reminded him of the time when he auditioned for Alan Wake after and shared his experience with his fans through Justin’s podcast. Matthew said on the episode- So, I went and auditioned for this job 13 years ago; in fact, it was Alan Wake’s birthday on Sunday. Six months later, my agent called me up and said, ” Hey, you know that video game you went in on? I was like, no. Alan Wake, you got it. I was oh, what am I doing in it? He goes Alan Wake. I m like, oh cool, (laughs).
Except for reminiscing memories from his first Alan Wake days, Matthew Porretta didn’t reveal details of Alan Wake 2 ahead. He swore to secrecy about sharing further information on his upcoming project. And since Remedy Entertainment and Epic Games have also kept silent on the details, we must wait for an official confirmation from either side.
